A fascinating dance team of Kim Joong Ja, who were established in 1967 in order to broaden the traditional Korean culture by performing fabulous dances. They present 5 different kinds of dances which were originated from old Korea, called Chosun Dynasty. SAM-go MU begins with a dramatci rolling of drum sticks around around the ridges of the drum's circumference, gradually building to a crescendo of passionate drumming It is commonly performed by 3 or 5 dancers on small darrel drums hung vertically on wooden frames. the dance combines rhythmic dexterity with acrobatic movement. Legend has it that a high-ranking government official by the name of Yi Hon of Koryo period (918-1392 AD) found a piece of wood on the seashore where he was exiled and made a drum out of it that had a wonderful sound The Drum dance was first prrformed during the reign of King Seongjong (1457-1494 AD) and popularized during the late Chosun period in the 19th century. |

This is the dance that was conducted at Kisaeng House (Professional
Korean entertainer house) where classical schollars, in Joseon
Dynasty,assembled and exchanged opinions over all social matters. It
iscalled Gyobang-Mu dance this was conducted at house, or in
other name, it is called Kisaeng (professional Korean Entertainer)
dance. Such dance, with long history has been put on stages these 100
years since it started.

One of the most popular Korean folk dances at home and
abroad.This dance is performed by a troupe of women with folding fans. The dancers open and close the fans with a lighthearted smile to a flowing rhythm. The climax is when the dancers form a big fluttering flower they wear colorful costumes akin to those once worn by dances of the royal court. and crowns of peony blossoms are painted on their fans.
